How to download history files

When you first install LSMC, it's knowledge of the lottery games' histories will be blank. For this reason, on the right had side of the game buttons you'll see an icon that tells you that the game wants history data.

Icon tells you history is missing

You have two options to remove this icon. You can tell the application to ignore the missing data, or you can put the data in.

To tell the games to ignore the missing data you can go into each games' update form. Simply right click on each game and select the update option.

Go into the game's update form

The update form is where you normally enter draw results. It also has a curious option of setting an ignore before date. This enables you to tell the game to ignore missing draw data prior to a given date. If you've just installed LSMC, previous draws don't matter, so you can set the date to today by clicking todays date in the drop down selector.

Click todays date to set ignore date time to now

After returning to the main manager window you now see that the icon has been removed from the games' button.

Update icon is now gone

If on the other hand you want to have the complete history for each game you can download them from our site.

We normally update our history files once per week, sometimes we miss a week, so you may have to enter the latest draws yourself.

There are two parts to putting the history files into the manager. You must open the folder that LSMC uses to store the data. As this can be difficult to navigate to, use the "Game|Open History Folder..." menu item.

How to open the history folder

You will then see a folder similar to this

Typical history folder view

Now although you may not have not entered any data, the folder will contain history files. However they are empty.

As LSMC constantly uses and updates these files, you should close LSMC.

The next step is to download the history files from the download page. Use the save file option and save to where you can find the file(s). We recommend you do this as navigating to the history folder is not easy (try it <g>). Once saved you can move the files into the opened history folder and overwrite the existing files.

You can now close the history folder and re-start LSMC. If the files are right up to date the icons will now be gone from the game buttons, if not you can enter the latest draws manually, and you'll be up to date.

Note: when you update the draws manually, use the up/down buttons on the draw number control to run through the draws to see which draws need data. Just updating the last draw may not be enough.
